The functions and services offered by the Center include an array of events, facilities, educational programs, and initiatives.
Annual Community Events
We provide a range of community events throughout the year that serve the children, youth, adults, and seniors in our community. Managed primarily by volunteers, the events often attract 100-200 people.
The Villanueva David Cargo Library at the El Valle Community offers a full range of library services, including access to a large print collection, information resources, a Children's Library, and free public access computers and wifi.
The Tiendita is a low cost resale shop located inside the Center that offers an extensive collection of clothing, household supplies, and small furnishing items at very low cost.
Classes and Training
The center offers a variety of classes, including GED, computer skills, workforce readiness, exercise, dance, and other activities.
The Center's kitchen provides a standard kitchen space to community members for use. The kitchen can be used as a stand alone facility or in conjunction with the rental of the dining hall. There is a small rental rate for the use of both the kitchen and the dining hall, the proceeds from which benefit the School Scholarship.
in the Center offers a large dining facility with folding tables and chairs that can comfortably seat 75-90 people. The hall hosts larger center events and is used by the community for baby showers, family reunions, and other family celebrations.
