Annual Community Events


  • "Toys Por Los Ninos," an annual toy run organized in partnership with the city of Las Vegas and valley businesses, which raises funds to purchase toys for children in the community for the holidays. 
  • "Easter Egg Hunt," a yearly event drawing over 200 participants, is supported completed by the donations and efforts of the El Valle Community Center and provides free Easter treats and prizes to all participating children.
  • The yearly "Thanksgiving Bingo" links bingo fun with the serving of a Thanksgiving dinner at no cost to community members.
  • The Halloween Party in the fall opens the EVCC to children in the area and their familie,s and provides family-centered halloween games, stories, and treats for all who attend.
  • The Senior Jubilee, a unique micro-conference program celebrating seniors who live in rural areas.  The program has been in existence for over 10 years.
  •  Los Pastoras, a traditional hispanic Christmas-time play recounting the nativity, returned to Villanueva in 2011 through the efforts of one of the EVCC leaders, Aggie Ortega.
  • The Youth Farm to Market Program, which provides training for valley children and youth in sustainable agriculture and marketing, has held activities and classes at the EVCC for the past four years.
  • "Back to School Giveaway" operates at the start of every school year.  Through donations from community members and local businesses, the EVCC provides free school supplies to all valley school age children in need. ​
