The El Valle Community Center works to promote the unique culture and traditions of the El Valle region. We offer programs and activities that explore aspects of this cultural heritage, developing skills and cultivating practices that promote continuity for these traditions within a context of celebration and sharing. In alignment with our focus on local traditions, we support local food and agricultural practices through a variety of programs, including a modified Farm to Table initiative that distributes locally grown produce and traditional crops to the community and to those in need. We provide opportunities for learning and creativity through programming on site and at the local school. In partnership with the Villanueva David Cargo Library, we offer early literacy and learning opportunities, including materials and activities for grades K-8 in both online and hands-on formats. We promote digital inclusion by helping students, families, and individuals of all ages in gaining digital skills and getting affordable, reliable internet access in their homes. |
