Our Library
Our library is housed within the center in several locations throughout the building. We are fortunate to now be a state library. With that comes our ability to offer library cards and access to the state library system where as a library card holder have access to free newspapers, magazine and journal articles, audio books, practice driving tests for your drivers license, doulingo, biomedical and life sciences journals, public domain recordings of public domain literature, ebooks, and so much more. Come visit us in person to get your library card and open yourself up to all that the library has to offer!

LIBRARIES
The Villanueva Library collection is housed in three separate spaces. The main library room features fiction and non-fiction, with a "hallway wing" for quickly grabbing another romance novel or mystery.
Our children's collection of over 4,000 books is housed in a dedicated children's library room that provides cozy reading nooks and educational games.
Our popular and expanding Southwest Collection is migrating into the front reading room for easy browsing and comfortable seating.
During the 2024–25 school year, the Villanueva Library expanded its holdings in order to better serve middle school and young adult readers. With the generous support of the New Mexico State Library Grants in Aid, the Villanueva library added over 100 middle school level titles to its collection.
The additions were part of a larger effort to support the local middle school, which lacks any library resources for students in grades 6–8. The program enabled these texts to be borrowed from the library and made available at the school, giving students classroom access to high-level juvenile fiction, young adult, and graphic novels.
Through book review activities and book check outs, the program successfully increased engagement by middle school students with reading and books. The Villanueva Library plans to continue the partnership program with the local school during the 2025–26 school year.
