Free wifi access points - Las Vegas and Surrounding Areas 

​To meet the growing need for wifi access, we have created a  list of free local wifi access points in Las Vegas and surrounding communities.

• Village of Pecos - A free wifi access point is now located in the small park next to the village offices at 92 South Main Street.  Wifi should extend into the adjacent parking area. There is no password and signal should be available 24/7. 
• Carnegie Library in Las Vegas – The library is closed but the wifi signal can be accessed outside the build in the park surrounding the facility. Instructions for logging on to the network are posted on the library door.
• McDonalds in Las Vegas – The building has wifi that does extend into the outside area, but seating at outside tables is currently discouraged. A wifi connection may be available from vehicles in the parking lot.
• Wendy’s in Las Vegas – Like McDonalds, the building has wifi that does extend into the outside area, but seating at any outside tables is currently discouraged. A wifi connection may be available from vehicles in the parking lot.
• San Miguel Senior Center – The Senior Center building in San Miguel is closed to the public, but there is wifi in the building that may extend into the parking area. This wifi signal may be available for use from your vehicle when parked there. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Center is only open M-Th, 10-2; the gate surrounding the facility and parking lot is locked the rest of the time.  Call 575-421-9570 before to confirm open hours.
• El Valle Community Center and Villanueva Library - The El Valle Community Center and Villanueva Library has an eternal wifi access point that can be accessed from the grounds on the east side of the building by the basket ball court. The wifi signal is available from your vehicle. If you bring seating or use the picnic tables on site, you must maintain appropriate social distancing of at least 6 feet between individuals. • Desert Gate-Genesys Computers provides free wifi access in and around their office at 118 Bridge Street. The signal extends across the street to Abraham’s Teindita and may reach down to, or close to, the river.  Call (505) 454-8454 for more information.
• Pecos School District now has two external wifi access points that provide free wifi access in areas around the school buildings, including in the area parking lots. Wifi access will be available to students and staff outside the buildings when the grounds are open. For more information, contact the principal, the IT department, or the superintendent.  
• West Las Vegas School District offers wifi access outside the buildings at most school site locations. School wifi allows students easy access to their online learning materials when they log on with their Chromebooks.  Students can use the signal to work on location or can download class materials onto their Chromebooks and complete assignments at home, even if they do not have home internet. Completed assignment can also be uploaded to Google classroom using the school wifi with the school Chromebooks. For hours of operation for wifi, contact the IT department at your school. ​​
